5:33 p.m. - 2006-06-05 If you are suffering from high blood pressure or hypertension, it won't, unluckily, exhibit any diagnostics untill the damage is done. In developed countries nearly twenty per cent of adults are troubled by the high Blood Pressure. It is even more common in the developing countries. Various medications are introduced by physicians to prevent it but yet they have not been capable enough to check high blood pressure in many people. The World Health Organisation (WHO) reports that such a trouble from above the usual bloodpressure is further complicated by poor hospitality to prescribed anti-hypertensive medication. Blood pressure is calculated in millimetres of mercury (mm Hg) & observations which are not more than 120/80 mm Hg are considered ideal. A reading of less than 140/90 mm Hg is considered normal, however bloodpressure over 140/90 is known as hypertension. Hypertension is one of the chief reasons of death or inability resulting from stroke, kidney failure and heart attack. There are two types of high bloodpressure and 90% of all instances are of primary or else required hypertension where the cause is unknown, unlike secondary hypertension with detectable reasons that are treatable or else reversible.
